Congratulations to Roya Zaman who is celebrating 11-years at Zephyr Real Estate this August!

When Roya made a move from Iran to the US in 1976, she settled in the Bay Area which has been her home ever since. Her professional background prior to becoming a Realtor was as a CEO of a web design firm and before that, a specialist in International Trade. But with a family background that spanned over three generations in real estate and investing, Roya energetically joined Zephyr Real Estate in 2005. An investor herself and a home owner, as well as language fluency in English, French, Farsi and Spanish, Roya’s expertise has helped her to successfully serve her clients from first time home buyers to experienced investors.

When congratulating Roya on her Zephyr anniversary, she shared a look behind the scenes to get to know her a little better.

1. What neighborhood (or city) do you live in and why? How long have you lived there and what do you love best about it?

“I have lived in Redwood City for 12 years and love its weather and proximity to San Francisco and Silicon Valley. It has a great downtown with easy access to Cal train.”

2. What do you love to do in your spare time?

“I love to hike in the Peninsula and go to the beach in Half Moon Bay. I also love walking around San Francisco neighborhoods and trying new restaurants. My favorite hiking place is Mori Point in Pacifica and Edgewood park in Redwood City.”

3. What neighborhood have you seen change most in San Francisco?

“Bernal Heights. We bought a house in Bernal in 1997 and the transformation has been incredible. It went from a mediocre neighborhood to one of the coolest areas in all of the US (per Trulia 2015).”

 4. If you were not a real estate agent, what would be your other dream career?

“Buying fixers and transforming them into lovely homes.”
