Congratulations to Lee Patterson! He is celebrating 23 years with Zephyr Real Estate this September and is based at our Upper Market office.

Lee has been a staple in the Bay Area real estate industry since 1979, providing legendary service to buyers and sellers. After moving to San Francisco in the late 70s, Lee quickly became a property owner and an active preservationist for San Francisco and the Bay Area as a member of The Art Deco Society of California. His background as a broker and financial analyst set his pace early on as a trusted professional and his ongoing commitment to continuing education in the industry has established him a Bay Area real estate authority.

When catching up with Lee about his Zephyr anniversary, he shared some inside information to get to know him a little bit better.

1. What neighborhood (or city) do you live in and why?  How long have you lived there and what do you love best about it?

“I live in Mission Dolores and have since 1980.  It is the best area to live in because the weather is better than most other areas and it’s the best location when traveling downtown and to the financial district.”

2. What do you love to do in your spare time?  Do you have a favorite place to hang out?

“I’m a member of the California Art Deco Society and love to travel for the International Congress on Art Deco every two years.  I’m a member of the San Francisco Waltz Society as well. Favorite places to hang out would be the Pied Piper at the Palace Hotel, Don Ramon’s Mexican Restaurant, The Bell Tower and the San Francisco Elks Lodge.  Lots of good friends are always at these locations.”

3. What neighborhood have you seen change most in San Francisco or Marin?

“SOMA has changed the most as far as what is there and the number of people living there since I came to San Francisco.  But as far as change in a neighborhood, I would say you would think of Bernal Heights, Inner Mission, Bay View and Western Addition.”
