Congratulations to Jenn Pfeiffer! She is celebrating her 2-year anniversary with Zephyr Real Estate this winter and is based in our Marin office.
Jenn Pfeiffer is a native to Marin County. She grew up in San Rafael, attended and graduated from UC Davis, and currently resides in Greenbrae with her husband and their three children. Before working in the real estate industry, Jenn worked for the world’s largest communications company, Ketchum Public Relations. From there she joined her husband’s real estate appraisal company, while she also managed the acquisition of their own investment properties throughout the nation.
Jenn also was the Director of Publicity for a publishing house, a job she attributes to best setting her up for success in the real estate industry. While working there, she built a strong foundation of skills that she utilizes today including the practice of guerrilla marketing – getting the most impact with limited time to achieve success, a tactic that thrives on high energy and imagination focused on providing attention on a more personal and memorable level.
In 1998, Jenn began selling residential real estate across Marin, Sonoma and San Francisco. And it didn’t take long for her innate talent of working with people and natural enthusiasm for the real estate industry to shine through. As a native Marinite, Jenn is mindful not to take anything about Marin for granted–the open space, the views, the close proximity to San Francisco, Mount Tam and the excellent schools.
We got to know Jenn a little better when catching up with her about her Zephyr anniversary.
1. What neighborhood/city do you live in & why? How long have you lived there and what do you love best about it?
“I live in Greenbrae which is really Larkspur, but just a very large unincorporated part of Larkspur. We (husband and kids) moved here 17 years ago. It was just one of the towns we had not lived in, as we spent many years buying homes and fixing them up. It turned out really well because it is now one of the top areas of Marin to live because of the great commute location, the excellent schools, and the weather!”
2. What do you love to do in your spare time? Do you have a favorite place to hang out in the Bay Area?
“Spare time? Not sure what that is, but my husband and I are enjoying life with just one child now that two are in college. Our life still centers around his sports, but we spend a good time on Mount Tam hiking and fishing, we go into the City for dinner and drinks with friends, we are involved with a Cooking Group, we are subscribers to both ACT in the City and Berkeley Rep so we see a fair amount of shows.”
3. Do you have a favorite architectural style or building in the Bay Area? In the world?
“I love most styles of architecture but my favorite is probably early 70s beach house at Stinson. Every time I walk into one, I feel at home. The interiors are always a sort of mish-mash of finishes–stone and brick floors, Danish-inspired kitchen cabinets with orange formica counter-tops, low ceilings with skylights, clerestory windows, lots of different nooks and crannies throughout the home. It reminds me of childhood summers on the beach and makes me happy.”
