We got to know Jan a little better when catching up with her about her Zephyr anniversary.

1. What city/neighborhood do you live in & why? How long have you lived there and what do you love best about it?
“I live in the Upper Castro. I love it because it is friendly, and all our neighbors know each other’s names. It is located less than 10 minutes to some of the best transportation options in the city. It is a great neighborhood! We are far enough away to where it is super quiet and we can enjoy time in our garden. I love that it is central and quiet and close to everything.”

2. In your spare time, do you have a favorite place to hang out in the Bay Area?
“My spare time is spent on my bicycle or running in beautiful places in the Bay Area, at my ceramics studio or with family and friends. I’m a parent of grown daughters and grandmother, work in my community for social change, travel, read a lot, create art, and I also work in organizations promoting the interest of women and girls including Alliance for Girls and”

3. If you were not a real estate agent, what would you be doing?
“I would be spending more time for working for social change and doing more of what I already do and enjoy.”
