Congratulations to Gemma Paybarah! She is celebrating her 10-year anniversary with Zephyr Real Estate this May and is based in our Pacific Heights office.
Gemma Paybarah has been a Realtor since 2005, duly establishing herself as a hard-working agent with an indomitable spirit. As a polished professional with a multi-faceted approach to business, she guides her clients through the buying and selling processes across all of the city’s the distinct neighborhoods.
Gemma truly believes in the American dream of homeownership, and loves to share the strategies she’s developed throughout her real estate career to lead individuals toward their personal and financial goals. Born in the Philippines, Gemma’s family moved to San Francisco’s Bernal Heights neighborhood in 1979. After relocating to the east coast for much of her childhood, she moved back to the City in 1998. Gemma’s interest in real estate developed shortly after her husband purchased his first condo. The lack of guidance and presence from her husband’s realtor throughout the process inspired Gemma to want to get her license and provide people with optimal service.
With an education in early childhood learning, Gemma has an innate ability to be patient and guide clients towards success while being open, communicative, honest and calm. Gemma offers all of her clients, whether buying or selling, valuable information about the process and today’s market. If her clients are happy, Gemma considers that the ultimate success.
We got to know Gemma a little better when catching up with her about her Zephyr anniversary.
1. What neighborhood/city do you live in & why? How long have you lived there and what do you love best about it?
“My husband and I bought our Victorian condo in Western Addition 3 years ago, and LOVE it! When we first moved here, it was a bit sketchy, soon after Bi-Rite opened, we had a number of quality dining and coffee shops come in: 4505 Burgers, Brenda’s Meat & Three, and The Mill. I love that we are surrounded by 3 beautiful parks within 5-15m walking distance: Alamo Square (a/k/a Painted Ladies), Alta Plaza, and Raymond Kimball; all with iconic San Francisco views. We are in the center between 3 flourishing neighborhoods: NOPA, Fillmore, and Japantown.”
2. What do you love to do in your spare time? Do you have a favorite place to hang out in the Bay Area?
“In my spare time, I’m spending it with my family. My husband, Joe, and I love to take the kids hiking, or more so,” long walks” (not easy with a 5 and 3 yr old). Our favorite hike is Tennessee Valley in Marin, paved trails all the way to the beach. One of the best things I love about being in The City, is being able to drive for 20 mins outside of the Bay and be in a completely different setting. On other days we Park hop and take advantage of all our city playgrounds and explore all of San Francisco’s diverse neighborhoods.”
