Congratulations to Diane Hourany! She is celebrating her 12-year anniversary with Zephyr Real Estate this March and is based in our Upper Market office.
Prior to becoming a real estate agent in 2003, Diane worked in numerous corporate positions. Her experience extended her the time to develop skill sets that currently add tremendous value for her clients: consulting, negotiating, and overseeing the details of the transaction. This foundational experience and mentality reflects strong adherence towards her approach to real estate.
Diane specializes in the San Francisco real estate market and has positioned herself as an agent that approaches the business by thinking of client relationships as long-term associations. With a highly successful referral business, she aims to have lifelong relationships with her clients, committed to putting the requirements of her clients first.
While much of her time is devoted to touring properties and helping clients, she is also an avid cyclist and you will find her on training rides with my wife, Diana, to raise money for the San Francisco Aids Foundation. She has participated in the Aids/Lifecycle ride from SF to LA multiple years and finds it a rewarding experience that helps to keep her in shape while raising much needed funds for a lifesaving cause.
We got to know Diane a little better when catching up with her about her Zephyr anniversary.
1. What neighborhood/city do you live in & why? How long have you lived there and what do you love best about it?
“I’ve lived in SF for 34 years but grew up in the East Bay city of Walnut Creek. As a child, I loved coming to the city with my parents and couldn’t wait to move there. I love the wealth of cultural events, the natural beauty, and the distinct architecture. There’s no other city like it in the world!”
2. What neighborhood or city have you seen change most in the Bay Area?
“In 1991 I bought a home in the Mission. At the time, it wasn’t an area most people wanted to live. Since then, it has gone through many changes and has become a much coveted neighborhood: wonderful selection of restaurants, easy access to transportation, flat roads to cycle on, and the best weather in the city!”
