When congratulating Dan on his Zephyr anniversary, he shared a look behind the scenes to get to know him a little better.

1. What neighborhood do you live in and why? How long have you lived there and what do you love best about it?

“I live in Diamond Heights with my husband, Alan, and our little Yorkie, Tovi.  We’ve lived there for 13 years and love it.  We were initially attracted to the house more than the neighborhood.  We were looking for an architecturally significant mid-century home and we found it here, overlooking Glen Canyon.  We loved the style, the huge yard and direct access to the canyon.  Since we moved in we’ve grown to love the close-knit nature of our neighborhood and the upgrading of the canyon with trails and access to Islais Creek.”

2. What do you love to do in your spare time? Do you have a favorite place to hang out in San Francisco or Marin?

“In my spare time I love to garden, take walks with the dog through the canyon and hikes in the Marin headlands.  We love to ski and spend a lot of time in the mountains in the winter.  We also have a home in Palm Springs and spend a lot of time there.  On weekends we hang out at the pools of our friends who have homes in Sonoma and Los Altos.  Favorite little known spot: McNear’s beach in San Rafael.  Also, I am a big theater and modern dance buff and have season tickets to ACT and YBCA.”
