Congratulations to Christine Tanabe! She is celebrating 5 years with Zephyr Real Estate this Fall and is based at our Pacific Heights office.
Christine Tanabe grounds her business with an ethical, enthusiastic and enlightening commitment to helping people through the home buying and selling process. By being an attentive listener she is able to really hear what clients need and want. A former computer programmer, Christine spent 10 years travelling the world, before settling down as a wholesale travel agent. The opportunity to travel has given her an international perspective on how home owner needs may vary from culture to culture. The opportunity to help people understand their options in buying and selling their home made her move into the Zephyr family of REALTORS® in 2011. Christine is not only a longtime home owner in San Francisco, but is a native to the San Francisco Bay Area.
When catching up with Christine about her Zephyr anniversary, she shared some inside information about herself to get to know her better.
1. What neighborhood do you live in and why? How long have you lived there and what do you love best about it?
“I’ve lived in the Richmond District for over 50 years! I can easily walk to Geary Blvd. and be within a few blocks of grocery stores, bakeries, pharmacies, banks, churches and dozens of restaurants! Almost every service you need on a daily basis! The Richmond District is wonderful!”
2. What do you love to do in your spare time? Do you have a favorite place to hang out?
“I am an embroiderer, quilter, reader and travel enthusiast. I have been to 6 of the 7 continents, so far! Antarctica is still on my bucket list. As I have travelled the world, I tell people that Paris is my second favorite city in the world – I LIVE IN my most favorite City! Lucky me!”
3. What neighborhood have you seen change most in San Francisco?
“I’ve watched the Bayview/Hunter’s Point area grow from the least desirable neighborhood, to the one with the most vital, blossoming areas in San Francisco. This is a solid neighborhood with the highest number of owner-occupied housing in the City. A growing sense of pride is emerging as new buyers who see the potential in this sunny neighborhood, blend with the long-time residents who have enjoyed the mix of cultures and diversity for many years. It’s a good thing.”
