Congratulations to Caroline Scott! She is celebrating her 9-year anniversary with Zephyr Real Estate this Fall and is based at our Noe Valley office.

What began as an engulfing fascination with visiting open houses, grew to be a devoted and successful career for Caroline Scott. Originally from Scotland, Caroline moved to San Francisco in 1986 after living in London and Los Angeles. She immediately fell in love with the City and became a home owner, landlord and fueled by her passion for education, an instrumental part of the school system serving on education boards as her children grew up in the Noe Valley school district. When she became a Zephyr agent in 2007, her inside knowledge of the distinct neighborhoods in the City and fine-tuned marketing skills made her an invaluable asset to buyers and sellers in the Bay Area market. With an unwavering commitment to her clients, sharp networking talents and innate enthusiasm for home investment, Caroline is a treasured guide to real estate in the Bay Area.

When congratulating Caroline on her Zephyr anniversary, she shared a look behind the scenes to get to know her a little better.

1. If you had to choose a neighborhood that is the best kept secret of San Francisco, which neighborhood would you choose and why?

“Actually I think my neighborhood, Lower Pac Heights. Lots of people don’t really know it is an actual neighborhood and has so much you can walk to from here, shops, restaurants, the Presidio and you are close to many different areas like Fillmore St., Divisadero St. and Laurel Village.”

2. Do you have a favorite architectural style and/or a favorite building in San Francisco? In the world?

“I love Victorians, love the details, high ceilings, double parlors. Love that they are so colorful on the outside- or at least can be. One of my favorites is on the corner of Fulton and Scott- it has a turret. In the world my favorite is Eilean Donan Castle in Scotland which is on a little island on a loch but has a bridge across to it and it just feels like a magical place. We visit on our way to Skye- another magical place.”
