Congratulations to Beverly Shwert! She is celebrating her 2-year anniversary with Zephyr Real Estate this summer and is based in our Marin office.

Beverly connected with Zephyr Real Estate in 2015 and immediately felt at home after 13 years with other Marin brokerages. Born and raised in New England, Beverly attended and graduated from the University of Vermont and mastered a career in sales for thirteen years. In 1996, she followed the magnetic pull to California and settled in Marin County. As her children were growing up, she was eager to dive into the world of real estate, a passion that had been ignited long before becoming a REALTOR®.

With a solid work history in sales, Beverly was familiar with jumping in and rolling her sleeves up. In fact, she thrives on it. She has a steadfast commitment to making each transaction as seamless as possible, lending her expertise, reassurance and hands-on tactics to guide her clients. Her flourishing business built heavily on referrals is attributed to her innate enjoyment of networking, familiarity with the distinct characteristics of each Marin community and her impeccable aptitude for resourcefulness.

Beverly balances her life as a REALTOR® with equally as inspiring endeavors and pastimes. As the previous president of the San Rafael Harbor Rotary Club, she loves the networking opportunities that Rotary extends to her as well as the spectrum of charity work, both locally and abroad. And while spare time comes in small doses, she reenergizes herself through socializing with friends, hiking, tennis, gardening and reading.

We got to know Beverly a little better when catching up with her about her Zephyr anniversary.

1. What neighborhood/city do you live in and why and what do you love best about it?
“I live in Greenbrae which is a small unincorporated community just south of San Rafael. When our family moved from Massachusetts to Greenbrae 21 years ago, we were mainly looking at communities with very strong schools and good weather. At the time, I had no idea how convenient Greenbrae was going to be, and I am now so thankful I’m here. We have great weather, proximity to public transportation including the ferry, and easy access to Highway 101. As an added bonus, we experience the beautiful views of Mt. Tamalpais and there are many hiking and biking trails nearby.”

2. What is your favorite part of being a real estate agent?

“My favorite part of being a real estate agent is the opportunity it gives me to work with people and establish very close relationships. I sell real estate because I have the passion for it and I enjoy helping people through what can sometimes be a difficult journey. Most often I am very sad at the end of a transaction because communication will decrease significantly. I work very hard at maintaining these relationships beyond close of escrow and this in turn helps me with my referral business.”
